2. Shree Dwarkeshji Maharaj (II Tilakayat)

Shree Dwarkeshji (V.S 1629-1670)
Childhood and Education:
Shree Dwarkeshji was the eldest son of Shree Balkrishnalalji (First Tilakayat). He was born in V.S. 1629 Vaishakh Krishna Paksha 14. As he was born on the day of "Nrusinh Jayanti", Shree Gusaiji use to call him “Vagdhishlalji”. In V.S. 1637,the sacred thread ceremony of Shree Dwarkeshji took place in Shreemad Gokul. After the sacred thread ceremony, shree dwarkeshji acquired the knowledge of several scriptures and granthas related to the sect from his grandfather Shree Gusaiji and his father Shree Balkrishalalji. After that, he was given Brahmsambandh Diksha and Gopal Mantra Diksha. He use to strictly follow the rules for the Anusthan of Gopalmantra and use to wear Kesari Garments (Garments with saffron color), due to which Shree Gusaiji use to also call him as "Kesariya Lalji".
Tilakayat and Mandir Construction:
In V.S. 1645, after Shree Balkrishnalalji entered into the Nitya Leela, Shree Dwarkeshji became the second Tilakayat of Third seat of Pushtimarg. In V.S. 1647, due to heavy rains and flood in Shree Yamunaji, the mandir was severely affected. Due to this, he shifted Shree Dwarkadhish prabhu to the mandir of Shree Mathureshji and started the construction of new mandir.
Marriage and his sons:
In V.S. 1650, Shree Dwarkeshji's marriage took place. His family is below

Literary works and Religious visits:
In V.S. 1670, Shree Dwarkeshji visited Sindh and removed the cultural influence of Yavana from the hindu community and taught them about the hindu culture. He also taught the principles of vasihnav religion.
In V.S. 1637, Shree Dwarkeshji’s sacred thread ceremony (Yagyopavita Sanskar) took place at Shrimad Gokul. He acquired the knowledge of scriptures from his father Shree Balkrishnalalji and Shree Gusaiji. In V.S. 1645, Shree Balkrishnalalji’s entered into the divine abode. After Shree Balkrishnalalji, Shree Dwarkeshji became the second tilakayat of Third house of pushtimarg.
Shree Dwarkeshji wrote the commentary on Shree Sarvottam stotra known as “Sarvottam Stotra Vivruti” and also wrote the “Balkrishnalalji’s Ashtotarshat Namavali” – the 108 names describing Shree Balkrishnalalji (First Tilakayat).
Nitya Leela entrance:
He entered into the divine abode in V.S. 1670 at Shreemad Gokul.
3. Shree Girdharji Maharaj (Third Tilakayat)

Shree Girdharji
Childhood and Education:
Shree Girdharji was born on Margshirsh Krushna Paksha 8 Thursday V.S. 1662, at Shreemad Gokul. His father was Shree Dwakeshji, who was the eldest son of Shree Balkrishnalalji. The elder brother of Shree Girdharji was Shree Aniruddhji, who entered into the divine abode in a very small age.
His scared thread ceremony took place in V.S. 1670. In this year only, after returning from the visit of Sindh, his father Shree Dwarkeshji entered into the divine abode. Due to this, entire responsibility of his education came on the shoulders of his mother. His mother handled the situation very bravely and managed to arrange the best education for her son.
Marriage and his sons:
In V.S. 1670, after the entrance of his father Shree Dwarkeshji, he became the Tilakayat of Third seat of pushtimarg. In around V.S. 1676-78, his marriage took place. His children include

Son: Shree Dwarkanathji
Shree Girdharji did the sacred thread ceremony of his son Shree Dwarkanathji. With the intention of making his son, a scholar, Shree Girdharji made great efforts to give the best education. Shree Dwarkanthji also acquired the primary knowledge about the scriptures in Shreemad Gokul from his father. Shree Dwarkanathji’s marriage took place with Shree Janaki bahuji.
In V.S. 1705, by taking the permission of Shree Girdharji, Shree Dwarkanathji for his further studies of scriptures went to Kashi and he began to give full concentration in his study of Scriptures. Within very short time, he mastered all scriptures. He wanted to become the DIGVIJAY PANDIT. To fulfill his wish, some mantra shastri advised him to do the anusthan of ‘Saraswati Mantra’. Due to this, Shree Dwakanathji, on the day of solar eclipse, standing in the river of Shree Ganga, he made to write the Sarawati Mantra on his tongue. He began to recite sarawati mantra and use to study the scriptures. After this anusthan, he achieved excellence in scriptures. Due to his, he came to be known as “Saraswati Mantrawale”.After staying several years in Kashi, Shree Dwarkanathji returned back to Gokul to his father.
Anyashraya:
In the next day morning after coming from Kashi, Shree Dwarkanthji wanted to go for the seva of Shree Dwarkadhishji, but in the night, shree dwarkadhish ordered him in the dream and told that you have done anyshray and thus, you are not eligible to do my seva. Same dream was experienced by Shree Girdharji also. In the morning, both father and son shared there experience of dream. Due to this type of order of Shree Dwakadhish Prabhu to Shree Dwarkanathji, Shree Dwarkanathji became very sad and began to feel guilty. He thought that this body is useless without bhagwad seva and he left Shree Gokul and went to some anonymous location. After that, nobody could trace him back.
Arrival of Maharana in Shreemad Gokul:
In V.S. 1700, Falguna Krushna 3 Thursday, Maharana Jagannath rai arrived at Shreemad Gokul to meet Gridharji Maharaj and do the darshan of Shree Dwarkadhishji. He gifted entire village of Dukhalvaad to Maharajshri.
During the time of Shree Gridharlalji, once, the maharana of Udaipur Jagatsinhji Maharaj came in Gokul while doing the Vraj yatra. He became the disciple of Shree Girdharji Maharaj, by seeing his influence.
Once maharana visited Shreemad Gokul to do the darshan of Deities. The time was summer. Hearing the news of arrival of Maharana, all the devotees of temples of Mathura and Vrindavan decorated their temples heavily and also made Shree Thakurji to wear the thick and heavy clothes in summer. By seeing the heavy lighting in the temples and very hot environement in the temples, Maharana became irritated and did not developed any faith in it and bagan to criticize all temples. At last when Maharana reached Shreemad Gokul, he went to do the darshan of Shree Dwarkadhishji. He saw totally different environment then seen in the Vrindavan and Mathura. When the darshan of Shree Dwarkadhishji opened, he experienced the enivorment suitable with the season. Shree Thakurji was meagerly dressed with some one-two garlands of Moti, white colored garments and the shurngar of Flowers was done. He also saw the water fountains, and sandalwood and rose water being applied on the swaroop of Shree Thakurji. Seeing this kind of environment, Maharana was very much influenced and impressed.
Questionairre with Maharana:
During the discussion of Sampraday, Maharana asked several questions to Girdharji. He was told by some pandits that Gusai’s of Shreemand Gokul always use to pose there own God as the best and supreme. Due to this, maharana asked several questions to Girdharji to test the intelligence. Maharana asked 4 questions to Girdharji.
- Who is the biggest amongst all deities?
- Which is the largest mountain in all mountain ranges?
- Which pilgrim is the largest among all pilgrim places?
- Which is the biggest river among all rivers?
Shree Girdharji answered the above questions below:
- Among all deities, Jagdishji dev is the biggest.
- Among all Mountains, Himalaya is the largest.
- Among all prigrims, Pushkar is the biggest.
- Among all rivers, River ganga is the biggest.
Hearing the answers of Shree Girdharji, Maharana became surprised and told him that why don’t you tell your own god as supreme? Shree Girdharji replied and explained that
- Shreenathji is not only a dev but he is the devadhidev purna purushottam.
- Vrajmandal is not only a pilgrim but the playground of the divine lilas of Shree Krishna.
- Shree Govardhan is not a mountain but is the swaroop of Shreenathji himself.
- Shree Yamunaji is not a river but is the Fourth Priyaji of Shree Krishna.
The influence of pushtimarg in mevaad:
Hearing such a answers from Shree Girdharji, Maharana Udaipur Naresh got impressed and was greatly influenced. He developed unlimited faith towards Maharajshri and at last he got initiated into pushtimarg by Shree Girdharji. He gifted entire village of Asotiya to Shree Girdharji. In this way, the Maharana of Udaipur became the disciple in Pushtimarg. Today, the importance that Mevad has got, due to Shreenathji and Shree Dwarkadhishji, is due to Shree Girdharji of Trutiya Peeth.
Adoption of Vrajbhushanji: As Shree Dwarkanathji left Shreegokul, who was the only son of Shree Girdharji, there was not descendent of Shree Girdharji who can take over the seat of Tilakayat of Third seat. To continue the parampara, Shree Girdharji adopted Shree Vrajbhushanji (Son of Shree Vallabhji, who was the descendent of Vrajbhushanji, who was the third son of Shree Balkrishnalalji).
Nitya Leela entrance:
In V.S. 1718-19, Shree Girdharji entered into the divine abode leaving behind Shree Gangabetiji and Shree Vrajbhushanji to handle the entire administration of Trutiya Peeth.
4. Shree Dwarkanathji

Shree Dwarkanathji was born in V.S. 1682. His sacred thread ceremony took place in V.S 1690. He got married with Shreemati Jaanki Bahuji in V.S. 1700. In V.S. 1705, he went to kashi and began to acquire the knowledge of scriptures.

The sacred thread ceremony of Shree Brajbhushanji took place in V.S. 1708. As an dopted son, he became the Tilakayat in V.S. 1718. After the entrance of Shree Girdharlalji (Third Tilakayat) into the divine abode, Shree Brajbhushanji, Shree Gangabetiji and Janaki Bahuji performed the seva of shree Dwarkadhish prabhu.

Shree Brajbhushanji was born in V.S. 1765. His sacred thread ceremony took place in V.S. 1772. Shree Brajbhushanji was very talented acharya. He was the scholar in Sanskrit and Hindi languages. His marriage ceremony took place in V.S. 1780 with Shree Brajkuvari Bahuji. He had two sons, Shree Brajnathji (V.S. 1788) and Shree Murlidharji (V.S. 1781). His elder son, Shree Vrajnathji entered into the divine abode at a very small age.
Shree Vrajnathji had three sons. The second son Shree Kalyanraiji entered into the divine abode at a very early age. The first son Shree Vitthalnathji and third son Shree Gokulnathji were present.
Shree Vrajnathji could not become the Tilakayat of kankroli. In this situation, Shree Vrajbhushanji use to manage the administration of kankroli by staying at kankroli itself. His all works are preserved in the Sarawati bhandar of kankroli. His work includes:

He entered into the divine abode in V.S. 1833. After him, his grandson Shree Vitthalnathji became the Tilakayat of kankroli
8.Shree Vitthalnathji (Seventh Tilakayat)Sonawale

Shree Vitthalnathji (Sonawale)
He was born in V.S. 1811 in Paush Krishna 13 on Thursday. His grandfather was Shree Shree Vrajbhushanji and Shree Vrajnathji was his father. In V.S. 1834, he became the seventh tilakayat of Trutiya peeth. He entered into the divine abode in V.S. 1848. After him, his son Shree Vrajbhushanji – III, under the guidance of his uncle, Shree Gokulnathji, became the Tilakayat.

He was born in V.S. 1835 Chaitra Krishna 8. His father was Shree Vitthalnathji. In V.S. 1848, his sacred thread ceremony took place. In V.S. 1858, he became the tilakayat of kankroli. His first son Shree Giridharji was born in V.S. 1854. His wife was Shree Chandravali Bahuji. They had the following children:

During his time, once again the controvery of Shree Balkrishnalalji of surat came up. In V.S. 1873, he entered into the divine abode. He was a very popular poet.
10. Shree Purushottamji (Ninth Tilakayat)

Shree Purushottamji
He was born in V.S. 1847 on Vaishakh sud Pratipada. His father was Shree Gokulnathji. In V.S. 1855, his sacred thread ceremony took place. His father, Shree Gokulnathji entered into the divine abode when he was just 9 years old. He was very popular and diginitary. He was also a very good poet. His composed kirtan pads are also found. His first marriage took place in V.S. 1868 in the month of Jyestha with Shree Charumatiji bahuji, the daughter of Shree Damodar Bhattji, at Ahmedabad. He had two daughters namely Shree Jamnabetiji (V.S. 1880) and Vrajkuvari betiji (V.S. 1885).
In V.S. 1886, his first wife entered into the divine abode. Due the insistence of family members, Shree Giridharlalji maharaj did the second marriage with Shree Padmavati bahuji in V.S. 1888. At that time, Shree Giridharlalji’s age was 51 years and Shree Padmavati bahuji’s age was only 6 years. This was resisted by the society also. He singlehanded handled the administration of Kankroli. In V.S. 1903, he entered into the divine abode. At that time, he was at vadodara. His cremation was done in the fields lying behind the Bethak-mandir (vadodara). Four years after his entrance to the divine abode, Shree Maji Maharaj Shree Padmavati bahuji adopted Shree Girdharlalji and made him the next Tilakayat.
11. Shree Girdharlalji Maharaj (Tenth Tilakayat)120 Vachanamrutware

He was born in V.S. 1888 on the day of Bahdrapad Shuklapaksha 2. He was the direct descendent of Shree Girdharlalji (Eldest son of Shree Gusaiji). He use to stay at Jatipura. In V.S. 1906, his sacred thread ceremony was celebrated. His original name was Shree Yashodanandanji. He was too much interested in prose writing. He distributed 108 copies of manuscript of Shreemad Bhagwat prepared by him, to various religious scholars. In V.S. 1908, he became the Tilakayat acharya of Third house of pushtimarg (Trutiya Peeth-kankroli). In V.S. 1913, he got married with Shree Kamalavati bahuji, the daughter of Shree Rehi Balmukund. He did not have any childredn and in V.S. 1935, he entered into the divine abode. Due to this, Shree kamalavati bahuji maharaj adopted Shree Balkrishnalalji, the third son of Mathura resident Shree Kalyanraij, in V.S. 1936. He became the tenth tilakayat of Trutiya peeth of kankroli. In V.S. Shree Kamalavati Bahuji maharaj entered into the divine abode.
12. Shree Balkrishnalalji Maharaj (Eleventh Tilakayat)

He was born in V.S. 1924 on Shravan Krishna paksha 13 Monday at Mathura. He was the son of Shree Kalyanraiji, who was the direct descendent of Shree Yadunathji (Shree Gusaiji’s sixth son) and belonged to Shree Dauji Madanmohanji mandir. In V.S. 1932, his sacred thread ceremony took place. In V.S. 1935, he became the Tilakayat of kankroli due to the entrance of Shree Girdharlalji maharaj into the divine abode. In V.S. 1936, he became the Tilakayat of Kankroli. In V.S. 1940, his first marriage took place with Shree Parvati Bahuji. After some time, his wife Shree parvati bahuji entered into the divine abode. Due to this, he married with Shree Saundaryavati bahuji, daughter of Karanji Bhupatlalji. From his second wife, he got 4 sons.

Shree Dwarkeshlalji entered into the divine abode at a very small age. Similarly, Shree purushottamji also entered into the divine abode at a very small age, in the presence of Shree Balkrishnalalji. In V.S. 1938, Shree Padmavati Maji Maharaj entered into the divine abode. After that, Shree Balkrishnalalji maharaj began to stay at kankroli and manage the administration of kankroli. He had very intimate and strong relationships with the maharanas of Mevad. He was also appointed as the royal priest of Udaipur state. He circumambulated shree vraj (84 kosh) in V.S. 1950. In V.S. 1960, his brother Shree Jivanlalji, of Gopal mandir at kashi, entered into the divine abode. He had to bear a great pain of separation from his brother. In V.S. 1968, he established the Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya at Shree Rajadhiraaj Temple at Mathura. He appointed Pandit Gayaduttji Chaturvedi, who was a scholar in Sanskrit, as the principal of the Mahavidyalaya. In V.S. 1943, on Ashvin Krishna paksha 10, he celebrated the manorath of Chappanbhog at Shree Vitthal Vilas Baug at kankroli. He was a very great admirer of Literature and poetry. He had also composed several kirtan pads with the pen name of ‘kanha’ and ‘krishna’. With the help of popular poets and litterateurs, he established the kashi kavi samaj at Kashi. Its first president was Shree Jivanlalji maharaj and secretary was Shree Ramkrishaji Verma. He had very intimate relations with Ayodhya naresh Maharaja Sir Pratapnarayansingh Bahadur, Maharana Ravaneshwar Prasadsingh ji and king of Chandapur (Raibarelly) kingdom. Due to his encouragements, the work of popular literateurs was published. Many popular literateurs offered their own works to Shree Balkrishnalalji. The popular literateurs includes Shree Ramkrishna Verma, Seth Kanaiyalal Poddar, Shree Ramkrishna Dadhichi, Jagannath Prasad ‘Bhanu’ etc. The popular acharya of poetry of Mathura, Shree Navnit Chaturvedi was the royal poet in his court. He had very intimate relations with the popular poet Shree Jagannath Das Ratnakar, who was the renowned poet nationwide. Bhartendu Babu Harishchandra was his disciple.
In the side of Singers, the renowned dhrupad artist Shree Chandanji Chaube was the jewel in his court. Likewise, Shree Ganeshlalji Chaube, who was the Gayanacharya, was also the disciple of him.
In V.S. 1973, he came to Mathura for his treatment of his illness. But his health got worsened day by day and finally he entered into the divine abode in Mathura.
13. Shree Dwarkeshlalji (Twelfth Tilakayat)

Shree Dwarkeshji
He was born in V.S. 1964 on Asadh Krishna paksha 6, Monday at Kankroli. He was the eldest son of Shree Balkrishnalalji. In V.S. 1973, in the tender age of only 10 years, he had to bear the separation from his father. He migrated from Mathura to kankroli. The arrangement for his studies was done by his mother. In V.S. 1974, at kankroli, he was infected with measles due to which his health became weak day by day and finally entered into the divine abode on Asadh Krishna paksha 14 Monday.
